Robert William Jetton, Jr.

August 30, 1944 ~ August 14, 2018 (age 73)

Robert W. Jetton, age 73, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018; 16 days following the death of his twin brother Richard.

Robert was born on August 30, 1944 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Sylvia Jetton (Garcia) and Robert W. Jetton. He was raised in Corpus Christi and on June 13, 1964 he married Cecilia Vollmar. They remained married for 43 years until her death on December 29, 2007. Robert and Cecilia had two children; Vicki and Bobby. Robert was a sales manager at the American Bottling Company for over twenty years and then sales manager for Coors Beer Company for another twenty years. He was a devout Catholic and was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. He loved the outdoors and his favorite pastime was hunting and fishing with his brother, children, family, and many friends.

Besides his brother Richard and his wife Cecilia, Robert was preceded in death by his mother Sylvia, step-father Ira McVey, father Robert W. Jetton, grandmother Mary Garcia, sister Laura Sanders, and his lifelong friend Gabe Hernandez. He is survived by his daughter Vicki Jetton, son Bobby Jetton (Missy), granddaughter Stephanie Jetton Brezina, grandson Will Jetton, great granddaughter Braxley Brezina, brother Freddy Jetton, and sister Vickie Jetton. He is also survived by nephews Rick (Jennifer), John (Beverly), Scott (Gretchen), great nephews Blake and Brett, great nieces Bailee, Taylor, Caroline and Claire, and lifelong friends Jolly Hernandez, Anthony (Lori) Hernandez, his hunting buddy Paul (Michelle) Campbell and his dog Sophi.

Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, August 17, 2018. Rosary at 7:00 PM at Limbaugh Funeral Home in Portland, Texas. A funeral mass will begin at 2:00 PM at Our Lady Star of the Sea on Saturday August 18, 2018. Burial to follow at Palms Memorial Gardens in Portland, Texas.
